COVID-19 Fact Page

Sandgreen Caravan Park - COVID-19 Fact Page

We can’t wait to see you all again, however, I am sure you are aware that, in light of the recent pandemic, there will be significant changes in the way we operate to comply with the Government Guidelines.

The safety and health of our customers, staff and visitors is of upmost importance to us and therefore, we have created this Fact Page setting out the changes we are making to keep the park, our customers, staff and visitors safe.

What We Are Doing

We are required to work with the Track & Trace system and keep a register of who is on the park at any one time in case there is an outbreak of COVID-19.  This includes names, contact details and dates of when on the park for everyone staying in your static holiday home or lodge holiday home.  Please let us know this information in advance of you arriving on the park, and then again confirm who is leaving, when going off park to return home.  We will require this information for any visitors to your accommodation as well – even if they are just visiting your holiday accommodation for the day.

To Keep our Private Owners Safe

Office and Park Amenities

The office will still be open 7 days a week however, there should be no visits to the office unless it is absolutely necessary.

Payments, gas orders, general enquiries, etc., will all be dealt with by email or over the phone.

If customers do need to visit the office, we will be providing hand sanitiser outside the office to use before entering and protection screens will be installed to protect both our customers and staff.

The laundrette and customer toilet will remain closed for the time being and we will no longer be operating the DVD and book library.

The outdoor gym will be open for use.  This will be sanitised once a day.  Please note, customers can use the outdoor gym but do so at their own risk, maintaining social distancing at all times.

Social Distancing

Signage will be installed requesting customers to maintain social distancing on and around the park, footpaths and beach at all times

UPDATED GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES

OUTDOORS - From 10th July, you can now meet up to four other households, in extended groups of up to 15 people, while still adhering to social distancing.

INDOORS – From 10th July, you can now meet up to two other households, up to a maximum of 8 people in total

This means that you can now have friends and family visit and stay in your holiday home providing you follow the guidelines above.  We will still require the names and contact details of all people who will be staying in, or even just visiting, your holiday accommodation to comply with the Track & Trace system so please let us have a note of these details before arriving on the park.

Children will be supervised at all times to ensure they do not, albeit inadvertently, break the social distance rule.

Feeling Unwell While on Holiday with Us

We hope you enjoy your holiday with us and remain fit and well throughout, however, if you do start to feel unwell and have or suspect you are having symptoms of COVID-19, please inform reception of this immediately.

You should immediately self isolate in your holiday home and request a test by calling NHS 111.  If you are confirmed to have COVID-19, you should inform reception of this immediately and return home if possible using private transport and not stopping anywhere on the journey.

If you cannot reasonably return home (for example if you are not well enough to travel or do not have the means to arrange transport) you should inform us of this immediately and discuss your circumstances with an appropriate health care professional and, if necessary, the Local Authority.

Other guests in the same unit should self isolate in the holiday accommodation.  If the diagnosis is then confirmed, they should also return home for any remaining part of their 7 day isolation period, subject to them being able to do so safely.

Guests should follow Government Guidance on dealing with possible or confirmed COVID-19 cases.  Once you (and if appropriate other guests/family in the accommodation unit) have finished the required self isolation period and are no longer symptomatic, you should return to your main residence and continue to follow the Government Guidance on self isolation, household isolation and social distancing.

Repairs and Holiday Home Maintenance

Any call outs relating to repairs or any other issues will be assessed in the first instance to decide on the level of risk to our customer and our member of staff before proceeding with any repairs or visiting any holiday homes.

Where possible, any maintenance will be dealt with remotely and virtually using emails, over the telephone and via FaceTime.

If we do need to visit a holiday home to assess an issue or to complete a repair, we will arrange a time for a member of staff to visit the holiday home and do this however, customers will have to vacate the holiday home for 1 hour before the appointment, opening all windows before they leave, to allow our staff to enter the holiday home safely.  All staff members will have full Protective Clothing on whilst visiting any holiday home.

External Contractors

If any external contractors need to come onto the park, we will check to see that the contractor has completed a COVID-19 risk assessment, produced a procedure to work safely and is equipped and trained accordingly.

Waste Management

We have moved all the refuse bins to one central area

All of the Refuse Bins are now located in the Boat Park at the side of the main car park.

Please ensure you dispose of rubbish responsibly and DO NOT put any large items into the bins.  If you are disposing of anything other than household waste, you should remove this from the park and disposed of it in the correct manner.

Sales Stock

All of our stales stock will be listed on our Website and this will include photos, pricing, pitches, etc.  This will be kept up to date.

Viewings will be strictly by appointment only, with a maximum of three units available at any one appointment.  Marketing material such as brochures, sales particulars, etc will be sent by email.

When viewing, only one group will be allowed into the unit at a time.  The holiday home will be opened and our staff member will stand outside.  Hand sanitiser and gloves will be provided for customers to use and put on before entering the unit.  Bedrooms and shower rooms will be cordoned off to help keep the unit clean by reducing the number of available touch points however, the rooms will still be viewable from the hallway.

Updates on Government Guidance

Customers will be provided with up-to-date, accurate and timely information on any additions and/or changes to the Government Guidance

Guidance given to customers on what to do if they or a family member start to feel unwell or suspect they have COVID-19.  Customers will alert reception to this immediately.

To Keep our Holiday Hire Guests Safe

Checking In and Checking Out

We are required to work with the Track & Trace system and keep a register of who is on the park at any one time in case there is an outbreak of COVID-19.  This includes names, contact details and dates of when on the park for everyone staying in your holiday accommodation.  Please let us know this information in advance, when you arrive on the park, and then again confirm who is leaving, when going off park to return home.  We will require this information for any visitors to your accommodation as well – even if they are just visiting your holiday accommodation for the day.

Guests can check in to accommodation from 5pm onwards.  Prior to guests arriving on park, a full information pack will be emailed to them including park map with accommodation and directions clearly marked, emergency phone numbers including the on-site Warden, Health and Safety information.

Accommodation will be unlocked with the keys inside the unit.  Keys will be sanitised and bagged.  Accommodation, although unlocked, will have a tamper seal on the door to ensure no one has entered the unit after the cleaning process has been carried out.

A disposable welcome pack will be left in the accommodation with various information and items for the guest.

Check out is before 9am on the day of departure.  Guests are to bag and remove their own general waste and dispose of this in the park bins prior to departure.  We have moved all the refuse bins to one central area.  All of the Refuse Bins are now located in the Boat Park at the side of the main car park.

Guests should open all windows in the unit and leave keys inside accommodation and should not visit reception to check out.  Guests, before leaving the site, should call reception to confirm that they have opened all windows in the accommodation and confirm that no one in their party has had any symptoms of COVID-19 during their stay with us.

General

Accommodation units will be provided with additional items, such as bin liners, toilet rolls, hand sanitiser, antibacterial wipes, etc. to ensure guests have ample supplies during their stay.

Towels and bed linen will not be provided in the units to minimise the risk to both our guests and staff.  Guests will arrange to bring their own bed linen and towels.

All loose items and decorative items will be removed from the accommodation to avoid unnecessary touch points.

Office and Park Amenities

The office will still be open 7 days a week however, there should be no visits to the office unless it is absolutely necessary and all queries should be dealt with by email or over the phone.

If guests do need to visit the office, we will be providing hand sanitiser outside the office to use before entering and protection screens will be installed to protect both our guests and staff.

The laundrette and customer toilet will remain closed for the time being and we will no longer be operating the DVD and book library.

The outdoor gym will be open for use.  This will be sanitised once a day.  Please note, guests can use the outdoor gym but do so at their own risk, maintaining social distancing at all times.

Feeling Unwell While on Holiday with Us

We hope you enjoy your holiday with us and remain fit and well throughout, however, if you do start to feel unwell and have or suspect you are having symptoms of COVID-19, please inform reception of this immediately.

You should immediately self isolate in the holiday accommodation and request a test by calling NHS 111.  If you are confirmed to have COVID-19, you should inform reception of this immediately and return home if possible using private transport and not stopping anywhere on the journey.  Unfortunately, in these circumstances, we are unable to refund the price of your holiday.

If you cannot reasonably return home, this will obviously have a knock on effect to the next bookings in your accommodation unit meaning that we might have to cancel other holiday bookings at short notice.

If we have other empty accommodation that we can move our next bookings into, guests will only be charged for the additional nights they stay on the park.

If we are fully booked and do not have any other accommodation to move our next bookings to, guests will be charged for any bookings we need to cancel due to them self isolating.
